2019 British Photography Awards – The Winners in Pictures

28 January 2019

From freckles to rainbows, selfies to seals, the winners of the 2019 British Photography Awards showcase the amazing variety of photographic talent from across the UK.

Sixteen winners were chosen from over 3,700 entries, and iconic photographers Richard Young, Rankin and Frans Lanting received special contribution awards.

Alongside the category winners, the competition ran a People’s Choice Award for each category, attracting 74,000 votes.

Celebrity photographer Richard Young was awarded British Photographic Associateship for his 40-year career as a portraitist and photojournalist, capturing some of the world’s biggest names.  He has covered everything from parties at Cannes and the Oscars in Los Angeles, to traveling with Michael Jackson, and touring with the Sex Pistols.
